mold illness recovery program
The Mold Illness Recovery program is for people who have been diagnosed with mold illness and are navigating their journey back to health. Mold illness, along with Lyme disease, fall under Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome (CIRS). While still gaining acceptance in the mainstream medical community this illness is real and can be life altering. There are four basic responses to mold exposure:
- Minimal to no reaction – Individual has a healthy immune system which can properly handle the exposure.
- Allergy – Similar to seasonal allergies. Symptoms dissipate quickly after an exposure.
- Sensitivity – Similar to food allergies in that symptoms develop over time and then diminish over time once the source is removed.
- Illness – HLA-DR gene(s) have expressed (turned on) and the body does not recognize the mycotoxins produced by the mold and therefore they are not excreted from the body. The immune system begins attacking an unknown intruder which compounds the havoc that the mycotoxins themselves are wreaking. This is a multi-symptom, multi-system illness. Twenty-five percent of the population have the genetic predisposition to develop mold illness.
why do i need the mold illness recovery program?
Managing mold illness can be a daunting task. Typically, your cognitive function is compromised and you need to address your health and your environment simultaneously which can quickly become overwhelming. Your diagnosing physician and their staff will do their best to provide you with information and answer your questions. You may even hire an environmental specialist who will also do their best to assist in your recovery. The challenge lies in the fact that patients and their families are unable to digest and manage all the information.
This is where we come in. We fill the gaps. In addition to education, we provide guidance and the support you need. We support the physician’s treatment program and provide additional resources if needed. Having personally traveled this road we know the pitfalls and the feeling of helplessness that can arise. Let us help you restore your quality of life.

Mold Illness
getting a diagnosis
If you suspect you may have mold illness the first step is to take an online Visual Contrast Sensitivity (VCS) test. When done properly, this test is over 90% accurate. It does not, however, confirm a diagnosis. You will need to see a specialist so a differential diagnosis can be performed. Our resource page provides links to the VCS test, qualified practitioners, an essential recovery manual and more.
